    Default Shoplifting at Dillards

    Hi
I was caught taking a $50 shirt at Dillards and the police were called. They didn't take a picture but I signed a paper that said "I will not trespass" by going in to their store. My lawyer said I can get this expunged from my record but will it still show up on my background checks? Do they have my picture on file at all Dillards even though they didn't take one?
    Thank you!!

    Were you convicted...? What happenned?

I've read in other threads here that a first time conviction can be expunged but that the arrest will still show up on a background check.

Expungement laws vary significantly by state.

If Dillards didn't take your picture, it seems reasonable to infer that they don't have your picture. But if you're asking because you wish to violate the no trespassing agreement, be aware that you could end up also being prosecuted for criminal trespass.
