My question involves criminal law for the state of: Federal Court

I have done federal prison time and am 6 months away from completing my federal probation. When I was sentenced the judge ordered me to pay 150 per month against my restitution upon release from prison. Upon release, I started to pay and never missed a payment. I have never violated or missed an appointment or anything.

I am wondering if my probation officer receives a cut of the probation money because even though I never missed a single payment he keeps asking me to pay more. He says the court would look at me with more favor if I paid more money every month. He also recommended I borrow money to pay more. I owe over 400 grand.

From what I understand a judge would have to be the one to raise my payment. I have respectfully declined to pay more money until a judge orders me to. I have kids, a family, and being a felon doesn't exactly make earning money easy. My restitution was calculated from damage to computers by hacking, although no physical damage occurred, there are no victims and I guess the government just keeps the money I pay.

So far every year I have been due a tax refund and the fed takes that money automatically, even though my payments are up to date. My PO tells me they will do this until the money is paid off.

1. Can the fed keep me on probation if I am making my payments as the federal judge ordered? (P.O. Does not know)
2. Can the fed seize my assets at any time, even though I pay on time? (P.O. Told me YES)
3. Can I be penalized for not paying extra every month that my PO has asked me for (PO told me he does not know)
4. Does a judge have to be the one to raise my payment (PO Does not know)

I asked my PO about reducing my restitution, he said he has never seen it happen. He said maybe if I could offer half up front they would make a deal. He said if I have any rich relatives I should get as much money as I can and give it to the fed. I am a 2 time loser high school drop out with 2 kids, 27, spent half my adult life in prison, my entire adult life under supervision. Nobody will give me money. I am just trying to do the right thing and navigate my way out of the system I have been in what seems like forever. Even if I paid 100% of my disposable income I wouldn't be able to pay the debt before I die.
