My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California
my son got sole custody of child during during my guardianship hearing for this child as the judge denied my request at which time my son spoke up and explained why child was being neglected by her mother pleading with him how this child was in need of medical and dental needs. child has lived with me since birth off and on. mother has not been in childs life for 2 years. the father of child recently moved out of our home and left child in my care with the understanding he gets her on weekends but he has been verbablly agressive in childs presence when i express my concern about his absence during these visits by leaving child with his girlfriend. child cries and does not want to go with father but his remark is always " i'm your dad and you do what i say" and he acts out of frustration making child not want to go i express my concern and he says "she'll get over it" he always threatens me that when he marries his girlfriend that he will take child, i tell him he cant take her out of our home until she is mentally prepared and i feel she is not ready.my concern is for the child only and he feels that his girlfriend is being denied a relationship with child. child has been clinging to me and i am worried. what can i do ? father complains about his financial difficulties and only provides lunch material occasionally when asked. all her basic necessitites, clothing, school supplies, shoes are provided by family members living in the house including myself.
