Default Hours Reduced a Form of Retaliation

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: florida
Question: Since speaking to you,& filing with eeoc my supervisor has drastically cut only my hours at work. Everyone else is still able to work 48 hrs a week(regular work week) and temp workers are able to work 48-50 hrs a week. He said its a reduction for everybody, but I have been the only lead who has been affected by the reduction. Is this a form of retaliation?, because I strongly feel it is.
    Thanx

If you are the only employee not working the same hours and there's no business rationale to that (i.e. there's been a reduction in business only in your area), then it certainly appears that's the case. You should contact the EEOC and amend your claim to include retaliation.

In the meantime, you may be eligible for a partial unemployment benefits and should file for UC benefits right away.

    Hi Beth:
My hourly pay rate will not warrant unemployment benefits.. Everytime I file a new form of retaliation, it pushes my date another 180 days. I just amended eeoc claim in march.. Im trying to stay informed on whats retaliation because i am documenting everything. question. should I keep the corporate office liason up to date on whats going on at the plant i work at, since she is for the employer & not me?
