My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Alabama

I worked for a particular company for 3.5 years. Several weeks ago, I left the building to go to lunch. As I was backing up my car, my back bumper just touched the bumper of the car that was immediately behind mine. I got out to check the car, and there was no damage on either vehicle whatsoever. The bumpers had obviously just barely touched. Being that there was no damage, I took a picture of both vehicles with my cell phone, and proceeded home to have lunch with my 10 year old son at home. I planned to report what had happened to management, once I returned to the office. My 30 minute lunch was over so I drove back to work, parked my car and walked into the building and sat at my desk. I logged in to my computer and began to type an email to send to management on what had happened when I left for lunch that day. As I was doing that, the company supervisor walked up to me and asked if it was true that I had backed into a car when I left for lunch. I told him “yes", then I told him that I was "just preparing an email to send to your team letting you know what happened” He asked me to come with him into an office where he and another supervisor asked me about what had happened, so I repeated the same story that I gave here in this post. He said thank you and said I could leave, and I did. I went back to work for the remainder of the day and left at the normal quitting time. I returned to work the next day as usual, and worked the whole day until approximately 1 hour before quitting time, I received an inter company instant message asking me to go into the supervisors office, which I did. I was then told that I was no longer needed at the company and that I was being terminated. In shock, I asked what the reason for the termination was, and he told me that I was being terminated because I did not inform management of what had happened in the parking lot the day before. I said, you knew about the car because we had already had a conversation about it in this very office. You, the other supervisor and myself. He just said you can contact this person if you have any questions, and he points at the HR person who is conveniently, in another state. So I walk out of there pretty much in shock. Two weeks before this happened; I had given them a letter from my doctor, requesting a medical accommodation for several weeks. Due to some internal problems (48 year old male) I require the use of the bathroom a few more times than what we were allowed to use there at the job. Management requires everyone to use the restroom no more than 2 times during the day, 3 if you include lunch. I believe this was retaliation against me for that request. Then they lied to the Unemployment Compensation folks, and they got my benefits denied. The whole process seemed shoddy when someone called me by phone and asked a couple of irrelevant questions, then I received a letter denying my benefits. I want to use the right words in an Appeal because Im sure I'll only get one chance at it, and its almost impossible to find legal help for this it seems. Thank you.
