Default Bankruptcy Dismissed and Haven't Heard from Mortgage Lender

It will soon be 5 yrs since we were dismissed our lawyer told us to wait till we heard from the bank before we refiled. We have yet to hear from the bank and have been living here for 5 yrs. Is there a SOL or anything that eventually we can get a deed? Thanks

Depends upon your State statutes, however, when it comes to real estate the SOL is usually between 20 and 50 years. . . so you are not getting a free home. You are living rent free until such time as the creditor decides enough is enough or you try to sell it.
