Not sure if anyone on here can help, but it seemed a good place to start.
About two months back I noticed a large dent in the back of my Cherokee, which clearly was not present the previous morning. I had driven it to work the day before, and it was parked in our company garage (owned by a third party). So far as I can tell, the only possible explanation is that a garage employee backed it into something, as aside from the trip to and from work, it hadnt been driven in a few weeks. And the way its parked, there simply isnt any way someone could have hit the rear end while it was parked at home.
Long story short, after giving me the runaround for over a month, the garage company has denied my claim, stating that an accident must be reported prior to leaving the garage. Really, who inspects the rear of their vehicle after picking it up from a parking garage?? And why would it take them a month to come to this conclusion??
I've yet to hear back from my insurance company, but aside from filing a claim with them, do I have any recourse at all??
Thanks!
