Default How to Replace an Alien Registration Card

My parents brought me to the US when I was 2 years old ( 1958) at 14, I recieved my first alien reg card. Long short......it disintegrated some years ago and I need to replace it. I have no idea where to start, or what documentation I will need to get a new updated card.

I never received my passport from my folks ( both deceased) , but did obtain a duplicate copy of my birth certificate from the UK registrar in the city I was born in. I've spoken to the INS office in Jacksonville Fl, but they were unclear as to exactly what I needed to obtain my new card.

I do know the number....a friend that worked at UF helping students with this same issue found the card number for me.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Steve
