Default What if You Reconcile After a Divorce Has Been Pending for 8 Years

My question involves a marriage in the state of:California

My husband filed for divorce in Calif. over 8 years ago. The case has been inactive for about 7 years. At this point both my husband and I just want the divorce stopped entirely. No contest from either party, in fact my husband (the petitioner) has requested 3 times to have it dismissed and nothing. Is it possible? if so how is it done?

    thank you for your time

Any notion as to why it has been inactive for so long?

Has your husband been the one to request dismissal himself, or has he used an attorney? If the former, he should try the latter.
