My question involves traffic court in the State of: California.
I was cited a month ago for a Local Ordinance Violation 38 For East Bay Regional Parks in California.
The ticket type - Traffic
EBRP 38 410.1 - Alcohol Restrictions (I)
EBRP 38 404 - Illegal Fire (I)
The first one - I had liquor, I AM 21, I had no idea it was illegal in California to posses it in a park. (I am from New York)
The second one - Fire was not in the designated little fire space, but in a stone fire pit directly adjacent to it.
Officer came, ticketed me. I explained to him I am simply visiting my family for a few weeks and have work+university
and it'll be extremely hard for me to come to California for a good amount of time.
He told me I am just getting infractions (Which they are), and I will simply pay them over the phone.
I get my courtesy notice, and it says it is mandatory to appear to TRAFFIC court.
Is it possible for me to just plead GUILTY in writing, and offer to pay full fine?
I have no intention of fighting this if I have to actually go to court because that is almost impossible for me.
Cheers!
