My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida.
I'm quite certain this is the correct section for this.
--To my understanding, in Florida the age of consent is 16 and 16-17 year olds can be sexually active with anyone 16-23 years and 364 days. State law, of course, but I've heard that some cases get taken straight to federal.--
In this case, my soon to be boyfriend is 15 right now and we're waiting 'til he's 16 before we start dating or anything because I'm 21.
My birthday: October 25th, 1990
His birthday: February 14th, 1997
We would, with his parent's consent, like to have a baby when he turns 17. At this point I will be 23 years old.
I was wondering if the conception date is before I'm 24, but the baby is born when I'm 24 would he "legally" be able to sign the birth certificate as father? By this I mean would I have any legality issues if it were out in the open that I had a baby with a minor even though it was before I was 24.
Thank you for your time. I hope someone has an answer out there.![]()
