My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: California
A painting company worked on our house on a time and materials basis. The "estimate" showed hourly rate and an estimate of the hours needed, but a condition that more or less time would be required. There was no mention of charges for travel time or lunch for the workers. The owner has charged for travel time and lunch time for the workers. Also he is showing hours for each day but not a time started-time stopped; are we entitled to that information?
Thanks for helping us out. We're meeting with him tomorrow, so any insights would be really appreciated!
