Default Emancipation at 17 with 90 Day Court Hearing

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Arizona. My girlfriends home life has become worse, that she chose to move in with me in January of 2012. She had suffered abuse in physical and mental aspects, but doesn't wish to ruin her relationship with her parents. And state laws make everyone under 17 sound like a useless kid. All she wants is a better life. At this point the states legal system is so slow that she will turn 18 before the state with grant her emancipation. And her father works closely with the police and will despite anything she says against them. And if she moves with me, he will use the law to force her back into a brutal household. What can I do?? The legal system is unfair to anyone struggling to start a life at 17! She has worked for over a year, pays equally for In my house and wants more from life and be able to remove the rope around her neck pulling her back to her abusive parents. F.y.I child services told her to hold out, and refused to help her!

Abuse is NOT grounds for emancipation. Emancipation is recognition of minors already acting independently who need relief from restrictions on entering into contracts and such, not some means to free yourself from parental tyranny.

You do realize that you are placing yourself in legal jeopardy by allowing her to live there, right?

Her parents have given her parmission to live with me, and she has been acting indepently for over 7 months now. I have read a few emancipation laws but with her birthday so close, most seem to take longer than just waiting. Thanks
