My question involves criminal law for the state of: Idaho
I have completed all of my requirements of my probation. My last meeting was 15 days ago and my officer didn't give me a UA and submitted all of the paper work for my early release. I called him today and he told me in a nut shell to have a good life and he hopes to see me in the world not in his office the next time we meet. I am not sure if this means I am off of probation because it will take a while to get the magical letter in the mail. Or if this is a ploy to get me to go have a drink and then get called in. No meeting was set up with him for me to go back in or any instructions to call him after a certain period of time. So I am not sure since this is the first time (only other was with a underage DUI) that I am getting let off early.
