Default No Turn on Red Due to Obscured Signs, Since Moved

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

I received a no turn on red ticket but the signs were obscured. The first sign closest to the vehicle was behind a telephone pole and the second sign across the street is on a different traffic light pole and when you come to a stop you can not see it from across the street. Now at the time i thought maybe i was wasn't paying attention but the closer I am to my court date I decided to take pictures and they have moved both signs to a visible location where they are not obscured. I have screen shot pictures from google maps of where the signs use to be. My question is could i use this to fight the ticket?

Depends on the date of the pictures on Google Maps. Additionally, what you'll need is a copy of the work order authorizing the movement, which you should be able to get from your city's engineering department or from CalTrans (depending on who placed the signs).

The relocation of the signs to a different location may well make them more obvious, but it does not of itself mean that they were not adequately placed in their former location. You can use the photographs you've found of the former location, the MUTCD, and any applicable statutes or ordinances to try to argue that the former placement was inadequate.
