Default Re: Preparing for a Contested Hearing

I was in the court room today to get used to the environment as suggested by Barry and to look at lidar certification.
On the first count, both the judge and the prosecutor seemed to be very reasonable in how they handled traffic infractions. Most of the cases had been plea bargained before the court was in session.
On the latter, the lidar certification I found in the courtroom was the same as the one the PA's office had sent me which shows certification date of 3/31/2010. I am now confused as to whether I should print and bring in the one available online which shows certification date of 12/7/2011 or use the one that the PA's office sent me. Any advice?

Ticket dismissed! Thanks to Barry for his guide and to Brendan for his helpful posts!

I printed and brought the online certificate dated 12/7/2011, but after presenting the first pre-trial motion to dismiss lidar evidence due to the affidavit being signed before SMD certification date, I learned that the judge had an older copy of the certificate dated 3/31/2010. I had to revise my argument to say that the certificate had expired when it was used, and the judge agreed and dismissed the case. She even thanked me for doing my research! I had gotten there about half an hour before my hearing, and she decided to hear my case right away instead of having me wait. She was very nice to all the defendants. There was another defendant before me who was arguing that she wasn't using her phone when the police officer gave her a ticket for cell phone violation, and I thought it was not a very good argument, but the judge pointed out that the defendant was cited under a wrong violation (it should have been for texting rather than for phone based on police report) and dismissed the case for her.

Thanks again for all your help, and I actually enjoyed the whole process!

It seems like my posts are getting merged because I am replying to my own post. I hope you guys have a chance to see how it turned out.
