My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: Florida
I purchased a used car from a small dealer in Broward county, FL. Paid in full. About $5000.00. The dealer promised to order and install the missing radio buttons. He paid for transferring my old tag to the new car (about $115.00). It was agreed that I would reimburse him later.
I received the title (no lien holder recorded. I own the car)
A few days later he called me to go pay him for the transfer. I told him I wanted to make only one trip to his dealer. I would go pay him the day I go get the buttons installed (I never said I would not pay him).
He told me he would deduct the price of the buttons from what I owe him, but I would have to get them from a junk yard 10 minutes away from his place. I refused.
I just received form HSMV 82190 telling me he was going to repossess the car.
Can he do this?
Thank You in advance.
