Question When Can You Move Out in Mississippi

i've looked every place i know to look for up-to-date mississippi emancipation laws, but they are nowhere to be found. I'm 17 and i want to be able to make simple everyday choices for myself. Unfortunutly, its not going to happen i'd love to stay home and have one of those normal family but my parents are so scared they aren't going to do a good job raising me that i can breath. i have a place to live and a job waiting for me starting at $10/hour. I want to keep for goin to court if i can, i heard that you can leave home in Mississippi at 3 months until your 18th birthday... is this true? If anyone has any facts or advice of any kind i'd love to hear it...Thanks...

Until you are a legal adult, you are your parents' responsibility. You are not a legal adult at age 17 and 9 months.

is there any way at all that i can start the process of emancipation without my parents knowing? they have gone so far as to lock me in my room to keep me from leaving the house. there is no doubt in my mind they'll do it again. they are also concidering placing me in a camp for troubled girls until the age of 18. in my mind i have done nothing to deserve such a punishment. i have no police record, i'm not violent, and i'm not usually out right disobedent. i don't know where to go from here.

As is indicated in the linked thread,
Quote Quoting Mississippi Code § 93-19-3. Application; defendants.
The application therefor shall be made in writing by the minor by his next friend, and it shall state the age of such minor and join as defendants his parent or parents then living, or, if neither be living, two of his adult kin within the third degree, computed according to the civil law, and the reasons on which the removal of disability is sought; and, when such petition shall be filed, the clerk shall issue process as in other suits to make such person or persons parties defendants, which shall be executed and returned as in other cases, and shall make publication for nonresident defendants as required by law, and any person so made a party, or any other relative or friend of the minor, may appear and resist the application.
