My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Oregon
CPS made my boyfriend of 7 years leave our home because of what the kids said at school. My 10 yr old special needs daughter said her dad drug her by the ankle off the bed (after an earlier incident about saying dad hated her and he hit her back against the wall). CPS and a detective were called so then they talk to his daughter, 11, and his son, 12. His daughter only said that he was scary when he yelled but his son decided it was funny and tell them that he grabbed him by the throat and threw him into the wall, which wasn't true, and there have never been marks on our kids; his son even told them that the holes in the walls were from his dad hitting him which wasn't true either (he is a known liar but cps doesn't seem to care). He had to take a psych anger evaluation and now they want him to take 12 weeks of domestic abuse classes before coming home, then a year of parenting classes. He feels betrayed by the older 3 kids and is very hurt and angry but misses our 5 year old who had nothing to do with this... should he take the classes or get a lawyer? No charges were pressed but he is afraid if he comes home they will do it again and why would he want to live with kids that could potentially get him arrested. I have been parenting 4 kids alone for 3 weeks and I can't work because of it and he has no job, so this is separating us quickly; I am at my wits end.
