Default Is Landlord Required to Provide Invoice for Damages Done to Apt

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: NY

In NY, if landlord deducts from Security Deposit, is he/she required to provide receipts, photos, etc? or just a list of damages and costs?

    is local ordinance available online?

he does not need to provide an invoice. You are not liable for an invoice. You are liable for the value of the damages. Many times a LL may perform the services themselves. That does not mean there is no value to their time but they cannot issue an invoice for some payment since there is no actual payment.

If you believe the amount charged is excessive, you can contest that.
