My question involves criminal law for the state of Florida:
I am currenly 4 years into a 5 year probation sentence. I was told by the judge i can get early termination once my restitution is. Over a year ago my probation officer told me that if i pay the restitution he would get me off. I paid it in May of 2011. I waited and waited until he told me i would have to do community service, that never came to fruition, he would give me the run around for months on end. I did get a technical violation where I didnt even have to go to court. I am currently attending regular NA meetings now. My PO then told me i would have to become a full time student, and when i do that he would waive my cost of supervision and get me off as soon as he calls the school to confirm that i am enrolled. I brought him all the proof, he still hasnt called and now he is telling me he has to wait months to see my grades just to confirm that i am a student. Can I file a motion to waive my own supervision costs and apply for early termination with good results?
I need to get my early termination so I can move back to my hometown and just get on with my life so i can focus on school and my family. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
