My question involves criminal law for the state of Iowa.
I work in retail & just recently was fired for changing the price tag on a piece of merhchandise & buying it. For one, company policy sates that I am not allowed to sell anything to myself & the original price of the merchandise was about $120, I sold it to myself for about $100 less. My place of employment then called the cops & the officer stated I would be charged once the investigation was over but he never said what exactly I would be charged with. I'm assuming left but I paid for the merchandise, just $100 less then what it was. So my question is what can I be charged with and will it appear on my record. By the way, the reason why I was caught was because the system showed a price change but also showed price changes on numerous of items because no one in the store had did a price change check in months, so almost everything in the store was priced wrong.
