Cool Skateboarding Charged as Trespassing on School Property

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I am going to be helping a few friends film a skateboarding video. They want to film parts of it at two schools. No one will be damaging any property, just skating around it and jumping off of staircases.

From what I understand we're going to have to climb a fence for one school to get to the area that we need to film at.
The second school has parts out in front of the school that are not fenced in.

    My questions:
    1. What are the consequences for a minor and for 18+ if we are caught?
    2. Does it make any difference if a place is blocked by a fence. Could we be in trouble for jumping the fence but not in trouble for the area that's not fenced in?

You already know the answers to your questions. While you are running the risk arrest, citation or school sanctions (if you are still a student), I suppose you could gamble and hope you are just told to move along.

The big issue is liability. This is why many places have "No Skateboarding" signs. We have such a sue-happy society that (a) insurance rates have skyrocketed, and (b) these places don't wanna be sued by you or your parents when you go skating off the stairs and maybe fall and and get hurt.

Also, while you guys think skating down a railing is cute...you are actually damaging the paint, and allowing the rail to rust a lot sooner than it normally would.

My recommendation - find a skate park.....
