My question involves a marriage in the state of: Georgia. I am seeking a divorce from my second husband whom I married in Dec 2007. He has been mine and my son's sole support the entire marriage. He became verbally and emotionally abusive two years into the marriage by falsely accusing me of affairs, and generally just hateful behavior. He is a good provider, but he is emotionally/verbally abusive and, I just recently found out, is himself a cheater. The only real proof I have of this is where he has subscribed to internet porn sites where he chats and possibly meets with local single women. We separated once before in 2010, at which time I moved away to another county for three months but we still saw each other fairly often. We reconciled in Jan 2011 and have been living together ever since. He claims to have proof of adultery on my part, but there cannot be any proof because I have not committed adultery, other than hearsay. What kind of proof is admissable? Are the subscriptions to internet porn sites considered adultery? We are currently separated since he has thrown myself and my son out of the house again, and we have no way to support ourselves. Another issue is with the checking account, he had my name removed from the account yet allows me to use the debit card and sign his name on checks for groceries, household expenses. Every time he gets angry with me he threatens to file charges. We are separated now, my son and I are living on my ex-husband's property which he basically abandonded along with his son and my lawyer is currently filing a contempt order and modification hearing on my ex-husband. My husband has made life unbearable for me and my son so we were forced to leave. He has actually thrown my personal belongings outside in the yard, destroying several items. Can a judge order him to pay some temporary support until I can get on my feet and can he be ordered to pay child support for my stepson whom he vowed to provide for when we got married?
Thank you in advance for your advice.
