    Default 17 and Pregnant

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas

My 17 year old is pregnant and doesn't want to follow the rules of the home. Does she automatically become emancipated because she is pregnant? Does child support from her biological father stop?

No, not only does pregnancy not legally emancipate her, but she just kissed what slim chance she ever had of legal emancipation goodbye. She is MEDICALLY emancipated, meaning that she can make her own decisions (with the help of her doctor) about her health care and that of her baby, but she is NOT legally emancipated and the chance that she will ever qualify for emancipation before the age of 18 just shrank to zero.

No, child support does not stop. She is not emancipated for that purpose.

She doesn't want to follow the rules of the home? Tough cookies. Your house, your rules.
