Default How Long Do You Have to Serve Your Spouse With a Divorce

My question involves a marriage in the state of CA. I filed for a divorce in September of 2008. I have avoided having him served. I would like to serve the papers now. Is there a statute of limitations on serving the papers in CA?

I expect that, should you investigate with the court, you will find that your case was dismissed years ago for your failure to serve the defendant or take other action. Let us know what you find out.
