    Default Fired, Then Not Paid

Need advice from this group of professionals - Recently I was fired by my temp agency for stealing property from one of their clients. Aside from the general embarrassment and pending litigation, I am troubled that I never received a paycheck after the arrest. My lawyer is on vacation, so I ask the group - Am I entitled to wages after termination? If so, what are my next steps? Considering the legal fees and unable to apply for unemployment, the $1,000 for two weeks of work could go a long way. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help. -Andrea

    Default Unpaid for Time Worked

It is unlikely that they can avail themselves of a "self-help" remedy by keeping any pay to which you are due. You may wish to consult a local lawyer who handles wage and hour claims about your rights and remedies.
