Default Breaking a lease to move to a new state

I need to break my apartment lease in the state of Ohio due to the fact I have taken a new job in another state. Can my landlord hold me to the penalty charges for breaking the lease.

It usually depends on what's in the lease. A penalty of "if you break the lease, you owe Landlord $1 million" is probably not going to be enforced. Or are you just talking about rent for the rest of the term?
