My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Pennsylvania
Recently, my spouse was stopped for speeding, driving 53mph in a 45 mph speed zone. My spouse was nervous as it was first ever traffic violation in life time. Officer reviewed registration and insurance and issued two tickets, one for speeding and second for expired registration sticker. There are two issues we need help/advise:
1. First officer stopped for speeding 53 in 45 speed zone, but he issued a ticket with 65 mph (clearly shows that he changed/over write 55 to 65).
2. We still paid both tickets (total about $ 300), instead of wasting time in court or paying for a lawyer at that point. But now we recieved an other ticket in my name for expired registration as car is on my name, and this ticket is again of about $200.
Is it normal/legal to send two tickets for expired stickers? and is it worth challenging in court?
Thanks for your time and advise in advance.
