Default No Stopping Anytime with 2 Hour Parking Sign Below It

My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: California

I was gonna pick up my sister when I parked at a street with no red curb, and I saw the 2 hour parking sign. There was a car in front of me and at the back. My engine was still on because my sister said she's already walking towards the car when the parking enforcer approached me and said im not allowed to park there. And then i said but i barely got here and it says 2 hour parking. then she pointed to the sign on top which said no stopping anytime which i didnt notice because it was covered by leaves of the tree. I apologized and said it wasnt visible, and then she said do you want your ticket now or later? i said im really sorry officer, please. Why would they even post the 2 hour parking below if it says no stopping anytime. its misleading. and then she walked on to the car in front of me and talked to the driver and then the driver in front of me drove off, i was waiting there when she went back to her car and signaled so i drove off as well. but very slowly because i dont know what she wanted me to do, i parked on the next street and was waiting for her to give me a ticket but she didnt.

I have never receive a ticket my whole life. So i was really sad. Im just wondering if ever the ticket gets in the mail, can i contest this? because it just doesnt make any sense to have a 2 hour parking below a no stopping anytime sign.

I attached a photo of the sign which i captured from google map. so what was the point of all the other signs below?

I can't read all of the writing on the signs. Can you? If so, can you post it?

To the right of the sign, no stopping 7-5.

The two hour parking and passenger loading apply to the rest of the block.

I would suppose there is a possibility the ticket could get mailed. Maybe you will get lucky and the officer was happy that you left the area and won't write a ticket.

    only time will tell.
