My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: nj
imagine a two way street with solid yellow lines. I turned more than 90 degrees to cross the yellow line and park in an angled spot on the side of the opposite lane. the parking spot is much less of an angle if pulled into from the opposite lane, you know,, angled parking to save lane space as is always less of an angle for the car in the lane it is on the side of. As I was turning into the spot, I parked next to a guy who started backing out. he wasn't moving when i started the turn. he probably saw me and thought i kept on driving and that it was clear for him to back out. i got out the car and he's mouthing off in his car but i can't hear him. he drives away.
1= was it illegal for me to park like that?(make such an angled turn)
2= if he backed into me would we both be at fault or what? thanks.
