My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Ohio. I purchased a vehicle in June of 2011. I also purchased an extended warranty from the dealer. This was financed with my loan so I am still paying for it. I need to use the warranty so I called the number on the paper they gave me to see what I needed to do. They asked where I purchased the vehicle and I told them. They said we are no longer covering those claims and gave me another number to call which was Western Insurance Company. They just had a recording saying they were in liquidation status and were no longer covering claims. I called the dealership and they said there was nothing they could do. This was a 5 year warranty that the dealership sold me! How is there nothing they can do? I am just out all that money now and they get to keep whatever commisions they got for selling me the warranty? Is there anything I can do? I am also a little upset at the fact that I was never notified. The only reason I found out is because I needed to use it.
