My question involves criminal law for the state of: pennsylvania
I have a friend who is married. his wife went on maternity leave from her job and collected foodstamps. she went back to work in late oct but is still receiving foodstamps because she never notified them that she was back to work Her husband asked her if she notified welfare of the changes. her response was that she did but she was on a trial basis with her job so they let her continue to collect. I know she's lying ot him an i told him she was because her income is high. he's now afraid that he'll be the one to get in trouble for fraud he has very little knowledge of how the system works. He was convicted many years ago with an armed robbery charge when he was a kid. he has the 3 strike rule against him and is afraid to report that his wife (whom is divorcing him) is committing this crime.she is disabled with lupus and other such physical health disabilities. he has 2 children with this woman and they just bought a house. What should he do? He knows the right thing is to report it and wants to.... but doesn't know how to go about it without him paying for the crime that she is committing. Is there help for him?
