16 Going on 17 New York State Emancipation Law

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: New York

I currently have no job although I have a couple thousand in the bank. I have a friend my parents aren't too fond of but I cannot stand either of my parents houses. When I go to my moms I get so frusturated I want to go back to my dads in less than a day and then when I go back to my dads same thing. I switch houses in a somewhat random schedule throughout the week. Im turning 17 in 2 months and I know y parents don't want me to go anywhere but live with them but the pressure is seriously detromental to my mental health. I am treated like im 5 over things most teenagers have a problem with. But at my dads house he gets angry much quicker than most people. He once found out I smoked pot in his house and then I was thrown through the basement wall and had my shirt ripped clean in half off my body. My mom never let's me leave the house and I've spent 3/4 of my teenage years grounded over things smaller than smoking pot 50% of the time (which isn't my main reason for wanting to leave). I just need to know if its possible to live with this friend at all before im 18 or even grandparents

You will not qualify for emancipation; if you are being abused you can call child services or the local police.

Unless your parents agree to you living elsewhere, you'll be staying where they say.

Not unless your parents allow it. The minute you engaged in the illegal activity of smoking pot you ended any chance that a judge would grant emancipation - that sort of actiivity tells the court that you need MORE supervision, not less. The court is going to AGREE with you being grounded and treated like you're 5. Sorry.
