Default Boyfriend Throws All My Belonging on the Curb

My question involves criminal law for the state of: I am a resident in the state of Texas. Well while I was away from home visiting my family my lovely boyfriend put everything I owned in the front yard. Most everything valuable I had is now gone and I don't know what happened to my things. My bed, laptop, jewelery, a pistol, a table, and some other things all gone. I called the police to press charges for destruction of property but they told me they could not help me because we both lived in the same house. I feel like I have been wronged and there is nothing I can do about it. Is there anything in this criminal law system I can do?

Did you make a complaint about him stealing your goods? (That's essentially what happened).

If the police won't act, your recourse would be civil (small claims) court.
