My question involves criminal law for the state of: Oregon.
I live behind a public grammar school. The field is my back yard and I enjoy taking my dogs there after hours to throw the ball. I take them when there are no children around and I always pick up after them. Recently the school put up signs stating "no dogs allowed". It is my understanding that public school grounds are public property after school hours.
Being a home owner and not having any children, I pay over $500 a year to the school district in yearly taxes. I know part of this fee goes to the upkeep of the school fields and they are not utilized in the Summer months and after school hours.
Does the school have any grounds to make me keep my dogs off their property during these above mentioned times?
Thank you
