    Question Bought Counterfeit Goods

I recently purchased some sportswear from an online dealer to give as a gift... When the goods came .. they didn't quite look like the ones I had purchased at the game. My friend took one look and said, "counterfeit". When I went back to the website, I noticed in the ad they had misspelled the manufacturer's name - adding a few 's' to the end of the words. I called the merchant, and I think I can return them - but is there something I can do make sure others don't fall victim to this scam?

[This seems similar to a counterfeit designer clothing... what happens in those cases? I seem to recall the cops raiding some highschool girl's house?]

    Any help would be appreciated!

Try informing the manufacturer of the actual merchandise about the fakes, and where you bought them. If anybody will be motivated to take action, it will be them.
