Exclamation Divorce, Taking Money to File and Move Out

My question involves a marriage in the state of: we are living together still married.
i have been wanting to file for a divorce, but coming up with the money has been hard since my husband does not let me have access to our accounts. I am getting ready to file our taxes myself and wonder if I will get into any trouble for taking the refund and putting it on a prepaid card that I have instead of putting it into our checking acct. This is the only way I can get enough money to file and leave the home.

How are you going to file a tax return if he doesn't give you any information?

How about getting a job to get money?

I do our taxes every year and we have been married for 9 years so i know everything i need to file.
I do have a job been at the same job for 12 years and will not give me access to our checking account where my paycheck goes. If I stopped it from going to the bank and I cashed it it would cause major issues in the house between us and it would take me a month of paychecks just to file for a divorce.
There are alot of other reasons why, bottom line is i need the money to file and move out. I really dont see why I would be in trouble, because if I put it in our checking account he would not give me any of it.

If you file and fraudulently certify his signature, he can press charges against you. Be careful how you orchestrate the process you are thinking of.
