Misdemeanor Expungement

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Wisconsin

I recently got a citation for Retail Theft, the amount stolen was $158, but I was not arrested or taken to jail nor do I have to appear in court. They just wrote up the ticket and let me go. I am 20 years old and have no criminal record, only one speeding ticket. I need help and information on how I can get this expunged. Thank you.

In Wisconsin you can get a criminal record expunged if the following criteria is met:

The convicted person was under the age of 25 years at the time that the criminal act was committed;
The criminal conviction was for no crime greater than a Misdemeanor;
The convicted person completed his or her sentence successfully;
All probation time was served;
All fines were paid;
The convicted person will benefit by the Expungement;
The person has not been convicted of another criminal offense (Misdemeanor or Felony) since the conviction for which Expungement is sought; and
Society will not be harmed by the Expungement.

So you received a citation, but do not have to go to court? I suspect in Wisconsin if you are issued a citation for retail theft you just pay a fine and there is no conviction.
