In the N400 application, I need to enter days outside the US. I have read various versions on how the entry/exit date should be counted (some have said partial days can be counted as days in US and in some places I have seen otherwise). In my scenario, I have done a lot of travel outside the US (all less than 6 months in any one visit), but my count of days present in the US varies between 901 to 929 depending on whether you count partial days or not. It would be in between those two numbers if you count 1 of the entry or exit days.
Questions:
1. How should one count entry/exit dates?
2. What are the chances of denial based on count of days given my count is in the borderline?
3. Do they actually get log entry/exit dates to verify every date accuracy or its at discretion of the officer and valid explanation of the trips?
Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts.
