My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
This is a long confusing story, but i really need some answers. My boyfriend has 2 charges of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, and 2 charges of grand theft third degree, he was sentenced to a drug program where he spent 6 months at, then 5 years of probation, he has violated his probation twice before on technical terms, he has never commited another crime while on probation. Now, about a month ago he missed his curfew and his P.O. violated him & issued a warrant, he was planning on turning himself in, then he called his P.O. to find out for sure what he had violated for, she said he has 7 violations, all technical, 2 of which he went to jail for already, but he has violations for curfew, not paying, and being late for a meeting with his P.O. anyways, on Thursday night, I was going a bit to fast, and a cop pulled me over, he was in the car with me, past his curfew, the cop took him in because he found his warrant, so now, what kind of jail time could he be facing? Just a simple probation reinstatment? or possible prison time? just for technical violations? I'm worried, and ive never been in a situation like this. I love him, and miss him so much. If you know J. Perry, do you know if he is leiniant on this sort of stuff? or will he send him back to jail? thats the judge he will have. & how long will he have to sit in jail to await his hearing?
