    Default Speeding Ticket Trial

My question involves traffic court in the State of: Illinois

Hey guys I'm involved in a traffic case right now and my pretrial is due up soon. I already sent in my MoD and was wondering what I should do from here. Thanks again!

As of the time of this posting, this thread had had 113 views but zero replies... And most likely because nobody can answer any questions or give any information without you giving us more information.

You can start by telling any and all details that you can provide, and someone will take it from there!

Illinois doesn't have a pre-trial court date from my recollection ... and if "MoD" ?? what's that?

Sorry about that guys! I just got back from my pretrial and my motion of discovory(mod) got denied by the judge because it was defined as a petty offense. Is this true? I thought it was my constitutional right to obtain such items( due to the fact that this is classified as a criminal offense). Anyways, they are now arranging a "hearing for my discovery". Now I was wondering if I can dismiss this case due to the fact the judge will not grant my mod?

You are not supposed to file a MOTION for discovery. But a REQUEST to the opposing party. So, did you file a MOTION or REQUEST and where/who did you file it with? Sounds like you filed it with the court .. of course this is not the correct procedure. Judge will deny it.

What am i supposed to do then? Everything I file/motion HAS TO GO THROUGH THE COURT(or at least court office) then it goes TO THE STATES ATTORNEYS OFFICE. What am I supposed to do about that?

The prosecutors did get my letter of discovery long before I ever told the judge.
