Default Speeding on a Freeway in California

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

My friend received a ticket earlier today for speeding on a freeway (I-15 S I believe). She says she is charged with 22356(b) for going 90 mph in a 70m mph zone. She actually claims that she was going faster and that the officer wrote her down for less, so I am guessing she has already gotten a break. She is really worried about how she is going to be able to pay this fine and how it will affect her license. Is there anyone with knowledge of how much this will cost her or if she is likely to be allowed to attend traffic school? Is it really worth fighting or should she just cut her losses and take the penalty? She also says she was cited for the tint on her windows but I am under the impression that that is just a fix-it ticket (She said the code for that one was LW 56110, but looking it up I cant find anything on that). I was not with her, so if I left anything out that would be pertinent to this discussion please let me know and I will try to get the information. Thanks in advance for all your help.

She got a break if she was doing 96 MPH. The fine and associated fees should be in the ballpark of $359 and it is a 1 point violation. While the court can temporarily suspend her license, this is not a common result. If she has a number of points already, then perhaps she might lose her license as a negative operator.

She should be allowed traffic school if she has not been otherwise disqualified due to prior attendances in the last 18 months. If so, then she might be eligible for the extended traffic school if the court allows it.

Yeah, in explaining it to me, she admitted to doing 100 mph, which I believe would have been way more serious. She just sent me a photo of the ticket and the tint charge appears to be 26708(a)1. This is her first ticket so she shouldn't have the problem with the existing points.

Pay up, do the traffic school to get rid of the point, and slow down!
