    Default Bankruptcy Never Discharged

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Washington

July 2008 I paid for and submitted my bankruptcy paperwork. I had until sometime in November to get in my certification of completion of my debt management classes. I sent in the certification come to find out it was late and my bankruptcy was never discharged. I submitted a written request for my case to be reopened December of 2010 and paid additional fees and the fee to reopen the case. I must have overlooked the mail because as of maybe 4-5 months ago I came across a letter from the bankruptcy court stating to reopen I must submit a motion to reopen my case. My question is being it has been a few years of not knowing and on my part procrastinating. If its not to late to get this discharged still, how do I go about doing so. I printed the form I have been advised to use but getting on the list to see a Judge so this can happen is beyond confusing to me. Please help.

This is a Chapter [what] bankruptcy? I would infer Chapter 7, but I don't like being forced to guess.

You were representing yourself and (repeatedly) dropped the ball?

Given the passage of time and the likelihood that you have new debts and creditors, I would not be particularly optimistic that the court will permit you to reopen the case. But it's not my call, and a motion fee is going to cost you less than refiling, so if you want to take the chance it seems that the worst that can happen is that the judge will deny your motion and tell you to file a new action.
