    Unhappy Revocation of Probation for Failure to Pay All Court Fines

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: ARIZONA

    I have just been cited to show up to court my fines were $990 and i paid a little over $500 the rest was about $400 left i couldnt pay it my wife lost her job and we are surviving on $800 a month out of that we take out rent and everything we have a new born son as well i did serve my time like the court wanted me to i was paying $200 a month but couldn't do it anymore i tried making arrangements of $100 a month and they told me no i couldn't do it i don't know what to do any help please i have paperwork showing that my house is being fore closed that i need to get out by January 22 also have paycheck stubs to show how much i am earning every two weeks as well as how much child support its being taken out also have bank statements showing that all my money has being going to rent and baby needs any help i cant go to jail or else i will leave my family homeless i have never failed probation or anything like that never.

    It might sound cold, but The court does not care about any extenuating circumstances that prevented you from paying your fines off. Don't know about AZ, but we won't lock you up for failure to pay fines. We will extend your probation. We have taken bond money for the fine. We have credited time considered served before. We have converted the remaining fines to community service.

    The grand scheme of things is that nobody put you in this situation but yourself. The court looks at it that way though. It may not be the end of the road for you. You have an outstanding debt that you agreed to pay. Maybe if you are lucky, they'll term you with the remaining balance. Or maybe they'll term you and send you to collections.
