What Happens to a Minor with Possession of Marijuana, First Offense

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York

A few days ago a stupidly brought pot to school. I had it in my pe locker, 2 bowls and a one hitter, along with a Sandwich back with about 3grams. I had one bowl an the pot in a glasses case with dryer sheets. I had the one hitter in a baggie, and the other bowl in nothing. I realize that this was probably one of the dumbest things I could have ever done, seeing as I've probably gotten detention twice in my entire high school career. I really want to go to college. I need the financial aid as well and if this is on my record I will not get that financial aid. Naturally, I got suspended for 5 days from school but also got arrested for having the stuff. I have court in about 2 weeks. What will happen? Will I get youth court and have community service and have this not ok my permanent record, or will I have criminal court and have this permanently on my record? Will I be able to go to college and graduate high school? Please answer, I'm so worried): I have never gotten in trouble for anything before. I'm also 17. Can I ask for diversion? I don't have money for a lawyer I'll need a court appointed one if possible.

How can you afford 3 grams of pot and not an attorney? You really need to ask mommy n daddy to come up with some cash. You can be charged as an adult. What were you charged with? Adult or juvenile court?

I can't see the charging document from here. Are you telling us that you're charged as a juvenile or as an adult? I expect, given your state's laws, that it's the latter.
