He walked in my room an just said it! It's not fair at all. I hate that doctor, I hated him ever since the last test he did a year ago and then told me I was fine! I think he is a horrible doctor I wouldn't take his opinion for anything, thus why I told him to leave.

A test from a year ago is probably meaningless today. Much can change in a year.

    Services were rendered.

So he did provide a service, albeit one with which you were unsatisfied.

I believe you're on the hook for the consult.
I would disagree. Since when do you pay for services that you are not satisfied with the service received?

    Re-read the thread.

    It's pretty self-explanatory.

Actually it hadn't been a year, test was on 7-26-2010 and the so called consultation was 1-27-2011. So about 6 months, I said it was a year because it was in a different year. haha

Atleast someone agrees with me on this.

Hmm. I didn't realize that all you wanted was for someone to agree. My bad!

Come back and let us know what happens when you're sued for not paying the fee.

Thats not what I meant, if someone agrees with me then that means I have a chance to dispute the charge.

So far all you have stated was to pay it anyways, you had no other suggestions and was inturn not much help to me in this situation.

No, that's not what it means at all.

Because again, you seem interested only in hearing what you want to hear.

Sorry - I'm not going to lie to you.

    Happy holidays though!

True, but that advice is necessarily correct.

You will have to the documentation of the consultation visit that went into your medical record. If he did any kind of history/exam/test at all, it is considered an encounter and is appropriately billed.

So I talked about my medical chart today, they said they had a consultation order or something, however when I asked them what he did for my benefit they said they didn't have the information and that it didn't matter.

It is bad that I'm still disputing this fee? Today the office lady said "jesus christ" and then said she wasn't talking about this anymore and hung up on me. I think the people who work in medical offices are so rude. You shouldn't be telling a customer that there issues or concerns don't matter or that you don't want to talk to them.

What can I do if they refuse to speak to me about disputing this debt?
