OK, so here are my questions.
A family member was charged with a sex crime as a minor. He went into a facility for treatment for 2 years and was released. The judge said that he was allowed to be around the victim. (who was related to him) He was also told that he could go to family functions and things that there were going to be children at. He was only supposed to report in 1 time a year.
Well now that he has become an adult things seem to have changed. He has to report every 3 months. Isn't allowed to be around the victim or other children. This has caused our whole family a lot of distress. Shouldn't the judges initial ruling still stand regardless of him becoming an adult? Why is he suddenly being treated like an adult offender when his charges were as a minor and tried as a minor? He has become so stressed out about all of this that he is having a mental breakdown. Our family is really close. We had to changing living arrangements which has put distress on the entire family. Someone please advise me on what to do.
