My question involves civil rights in the State of: WA
Can anyone chime in on this. I am already aware that WA is a 2 party state in regard to the recording of telephone calls; my question has nothing to do with telephone calls.
Is it legal to make an audio recording of an in-person conversation between yourself and another party (or parties) without their knowledge or consent? If responding that it it not legal, can you cite the relevant RCW or other statute that deems the activity to be illegal.
And I am not interested in the admissibility of a recording as evidence, simply the act of making the recording.
Oh yes - not sure civil rights is the right forum to place this query, so please advise if this should be asked somewhere else.
