Default Conflict of Laws in Intellectual Property Cases

    Hello,

I wanted to know how to deal with a certain situation. in this particular case, a person has made a video material for commercial purposes and this content has been put on a website (such as youtube) without consent of the author of the material. So this person is willing to sue the website but the question is where to sue the culprit, as the author and the other party are in different corners of the world. should the person seek for justice in his domicile court or should he sue the culprit in the court of the domicile of the latter? are there any conventions or any other acts that regulate this?

    thank you!
